Triumph the Insult Comic Dog confronts PC zombie-undergrads at U. of New Hampshire

From my latest blog post for the Independent Women’s Forum:

UNH students: Struggling painfully to say the diversity office-approved thing

UNH is famous–or infamous–for the “Bias-Free Language Guide” that its diversity office issued in July 2015, only to have a mortified UNH president Huddleston promptly disavow it.

From Campus Reform:

“’American,’ ‘illegal alien,’ ‘foreigners,’ ‘mothering,’ and ‘fathering’ are just a handful of words deemed ‘problematic’ by the University of New Hampshire’s Bias-Free Language Guide….

“The guide defines words such as ‘homosexual’ as ‘problematic,’ offering ‘Same Gender Loving’ as a more inclusive substitute. Similarly, a lack of gender-neutral bathrooms is, according to the university, ‘ciscentrism.’”

So it was fitting that Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, the foul-mouthed 20-year-old creation of puppeter Robert Smigel, descended on UNH and held a videotaped session for Hulu with UNH students (N entirely SFW) just before the Feb. 9 presidential primary. And oh, those students! Their political correctness was more painful than Hillary Clinton’s concession speech.

Reason‘s Anthony L. Fisher reports:

“‘Can I hump your leg? I know I look like a dog, but I identify as a shinguard.’

“I won’t ruin the microaggressive jokes by transcribing them, but near the end of the segment, a completely over-the-top walking stereotype of a flamboyantly gay African-American man walks into the room, and you can practically see the smoke emanating from the heads of the students as they try to find a non-problematic way to describe him.”
