Catfight! Liberal women have hissy fits over NYT photo of Hope Hicks, a glamorous former model, looking like a glamorous former model

Thirty-year-old Hope Hicks, press secretary for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and, for a while, White House communications director, has been modeling since her teen years, so she always looks…good.

So when the New York Times ran a piece about Hicks’s deciding whether or not to comply with a subpoena issued as part of House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler’s obstruction-of-justice snark hunt, Hicks in the accompanying photo (see above) looked…good.

Oh man! Nothing makes a liberal woman want to scratch a conservative woman’s eyes out with her fingernails faster than when the conservative woman happens to be an exquisitely groomed high-cheekboned beauty whom cameras adore.

First off on Twitter–I can’t resist–our old friend New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez:

In the immediate aftermath of shootings, media routinely post menacing photos of people-of-color victims + dredge up any questionable thing they’d ever done.

But when Hope Hicks considers not complying w a subpoena, it’s glamour shot time

Then we have Hearst Television journalist Soledad O’Brien:

This is a good example of bias in the : a picture of a person who is considering not complying with a subpoena is basically a glam shot, and it’s framed as a thoughtful, perfectly equal choice.

And University of Delaware criminology professor Nicole Gonzalez Van Cleve:

Also the glamour shot which screams: “criminality is glamorous on a vulerable white woman.” lord I wish black women were treated with this reverence and given “choices” like

And, for super-laughs, here’s Women’s March co-chair Bob Bland complaining that the NYT didn’t make grand-jury defier Chelsea Manning look as wonderful on camera as Hope Hicks does:

If this is how is covering government subpoenas now, pls retract and give the glamour shot + charitable take she deserves. After all- she’s the one actually protecting democracy instead of trying to dismantle it for profit!

Ha ha! Chelsea Manning!

What’s interesting, as PetaPixel reports, is that Tom Brenner, the photographer who actually took the picture for the NYT, tweeted that in fact, it was no posed glamour shot. He had simply caught Hicks in 2018 in the White House’s Roosevelt Room listening to Trump speak (note the overhead lighting). Hicks just seems to look fabulous no matter where she is or what she’s doing.

Methinks some ladies are just jealous of another lady.
